The smash cake was a banana bread with cream cheese frosting. The party was an army/camouflaged theme and the parents had requested a camo design for the smash cake.
The parents had to show the birthday boy how to dig into the cake, but he did manage to make a good mess and get a few bites into his mouth. In the end, I think his mom enjoyed the cake more than he did.
